“Calling All Cardinals” – How to attract more to your suet feeder

2 C. Oatmeal

2. C. Cornmeal

1 C. Flour

1 C. Peanut butter

1 C. lard  (not shortening)

Melt lard and peanut butter over very slow heat, until melted.  Off heat, stir in dry ingredient.  Pack into old square suet cake containers, or cut off margarine tubs, or can be shaped and rolled in wax paper or aluminum foil.  Cardinals just love this stuff!!  You can throw in some raw peanuts, birdseed or raisins too – yum!
